WK Coders
Technoelpis is an association of ambitious Ethiopian young learners with the aim of influencing others in a way that would change their lives for the better. This initiative, originally founded by an Ethiopian UWC Dilijan student and current alum, works alongside influential individuals in the digital sector to assist students with potential skills and interests in areas of technology. Currently led by one of WK CODERS club members, this aim is achieved by organising a virtual summer coding camp each year that provides free coding lessons and programming activities for selected high school students from all over the country. By providing a thorough training on different programming languages through vigorous classes and engaging collaborative as well as individual projects, this platform has been impacting around 100 learners every year as of 2022. The implementation of this learning programme has been structured to suit selected applicants through weekly 3 day training sessions each lasting 40 minutes to an hour.
